Job Title: Seasonal Maintenance Labourers (2 Positions)
Location: Wood Creek Resort – Moose Lake, Alberta
Schedule: Monday to Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Employment Type: Seasonal (May to October)
Job Summary:
Wood Creek Resort is hiring two reliable and hardworking Maintenance Labourers to join our team for the 2025 summer season. These roles are essential in maintaining the overall appearance, cleanliness, and functionality of our resort grounds and facilities. The ideal candidates are self-motivated, take pride in their work, and enjoy working outdoors in various weather conditions. A key part of these positions is the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a teammate and under minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general landscaping and groundskeeping tasks, including mowing, raking, sweeping, trimming, and weeding
- Assist with waste collection and proper disposal across the property
- Clean and maintain public areas such as recreation spaces, washrooms, and pathways
- Monitor and report any safety hazards or maintenance needs to the supervisor
- Set up and dismantle outdoor furniture, signage, and recreational equipment as needed
- Support seasonal tasks, including opening/closing the resort and light snow removal (if applicable)
- Interact with owners and guests in a friendly and helpful manner, providing basic customer service
- Ensure tools and equipment are kept in safe, working condition
Qualifications:
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is an asset
- Previous maintenance, landscaping, or groundskeeping experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license is an asset but not required
