Position Overview:
Versatile Heavy-Duty Services LTD. is seeking dedicated and reliable Class 1 Drivers to join their team for hauling gravel and drill cuttings in Bonnyville, Alberta. This role requires drivers to work day shift on a 10 on, 4 off schedule, averaging 9-12 hours per day, year-round. This is a fantastic opportunity for both full-time and part-time drivers looking to contribute to a growing company. The fleet of Kenworth trucks and Doepker end-dump trailers are well maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely transport gravel and drill cuttings to designated locations within the region.
- Maintain high safety standards while operating.
- Ensure trucks are loaded and unloaded according to safety protocols and industry regulations.
- Perform daily pre-trip inspections of equipment, ensuring vehicles are in good working condition.
- Comply with all relevant transportation laws and company policies.
- Keep accurate logs of hours worked, mileage, and other required documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch to ensure timely deliveries.
Qualifications:
- Valid Class 1 Driver’s License with an acceptable driving abstract.
- Must possess H2S Alivecertification and First Aid certification.
- Ability to pass a Pre-Access Drug & Alcohol Test as part of the company’s safety protocol.
- Previous experience in hauling gravel or similar materials is an asset.
Schedule and Pay:
- Schedule: Full Time Rotation:10 days on, 4 days off (9-12 hours per day). Part Time Role provides coverage on days off (4 days) and any additional days booked off.
- Overtime: Available after 10 hours worked per day.
- Pay Rate: $35 - $40 per hour, depending on experience.
